DISCLAIMER: What I am going to write below is not the final statement or any fact, but just an individual observation of mine , and if it hurt anyone or I am wrong by any means for any individuals or at large, I offer my apologies. Though, I want to draw your attention for a while.
It has been observed on social media(SM) in last five years or so, is that the female users have the higher "pictures isto text posts" ratio than of male users on SM such facebook.
Most of the time, I observe that the people on SM get more attention on their pictures than of their text posts. I understand that this is because it takes lesser time to see an image than of reading a post.
I have observed that the female users on SM get more attention on their pictures than of the male users. I accept that its credit goes largely to the male population out there who tend to like and comment on the pictures shared by pretty ladies on SM than of others.
In some sense, people can argue that we are just admiring the beauty and there is nothing wrong in it, but there can be some other opinions as well on the reason behind it, and we all are well aware of that.
The point I am trying to make here is that, apart from sharing beautiful pictures of yours, you can use this platform to share your thoughts, your observations, your opinions, and your ideas as well. There would surely be some people out there who will admire you for these things as well. By saying this I am no way discouraging or criticizing you for posting your pictures, I just want to remind you that your voice, and your ideas, matter to us, and to the world.
The reason why I am asking this is that what I feel is the female users are more heard (Get more attention) on SM than of male users, still, their voices are not presented much on SM than it should be. I am no way mean, the voice should be related to the one-half of the population, it can also be about the whole population or another half of the population. I request you all to use these platforms to make this world a better place that you are well capable of.
It makes me feel sad when people remember girls or ladies for their physical appearance only, although they pose many things they can be worth remembering for. Here I request everyone please join "hand to hand" to bring this change and make this world a better place.
